What CPD have staff had in order to meet the needs of children with SEND?

Staff at Streetsbrook are exceptional.  All work extremely hard and are totally committed to ensuring each and every child makes the progress they are capable of whilst recognising that children all have different starting points.
Senior leaders are committed to providing the entire staff with appropriate CPD in order to carry out their roles and responsibilities to the very highest standards. As a result, staff regularly receive training sessions on a range of needs.
Mrs Minter, the academy’s Headteacher is actively involved on a number of SEND Groups across the Local Authority including the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Board and the EDSEND Group, which she chairs.  As a result of some of this work, all schools in Solihull have benefitted from ASD training, Language Link training and Mental Health and First Aid Training.
