How do you gather the views of the Child?
How do you know the views of the child?
Children are actively involved in their learning on a daily basis. They are involved in marking their own and their classmates’ work and are encouraged to talk about their learning in pairs and small groups. Children’s targets are discussed with them and they take ownership of them.
Children’s views are actively sought on a regular basis, which includes opportunities for children to be part of the School Council and the Streetsbrook Nutritional Group (SNAG) as well as contributing to the monitoring of the curriculum.
Children with SEND also have the opportunity to share their thoughts about what they enjoy and what they find difficult as part of termly Review Meetings.
