PTA Easter Eggstravaganza

Christmas Fair - Friday 26 November 2021 - 5.00-7.00 pm

Minutes from AGM Meeting on 12.11.21

On Tuesday 5 October 2021 at 7.00 pm the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) are hosting a relaxed drinks and nibbles drop in for anyone who is interested in knowing a bit more about Streetsbrook’s PTA.

As a parent of a child at Streetsbrook you automatically become a member of the PTA when your child starts so there is no need to join or sign up, but we would love to meet you and tell you about what we do, why we do it and how you can be involved.

We welcome all types of help from those who want to spend time planning and running events, those that can spare the odd half an hour here and there, those that can help do small jobs at home, those who don’t have any spare time but work for companies that might be able to match-fund monies raised, sponsor an event or donate raffle prizes.

Streetsbrook Academy is a fabulous school and as a PTA we pride ourselves on doing the very best we can to support the school, create wonderful events for the children, enhance the school environment and provide vital extra resources which support the curriculum and enrich the children’s learning.

Sadly, local and national funding for schools has been dramatically cut in recent years and schools such as Streetsbrook have really suffered.  As a PTA we feel there has never been a more important time to raise funds to help ensure our children get the best they possibly can from their time at Streetsbrook.

In the last few years the PTA have funded things like iPads for all the classrooms, installed new front and rear playground equipment, updated the library computer system, installed a new lighting and PA system in the hall and provided funds for books and other classroom resources.

Unfortunately, COVID lockdowns have impacted the recruitment of new members to the PTA. Our current committee is very small and is in real need of some new recruits to ensure we are able to continue our valuable work.

If you would like to come along we would ask that you please reply to this email by Friday 1 October 2021.
